🌞 What You Missed This Summer
Summer may have slowed your calendar, but Asana kept moving. Here is a practical July-August recap of the updates worth bringing into your workspace.
1. Workspace and Content Experience
🧭 New navigation
Asana has updated the navigation, making it easier to move through the ways you organize and work with your information.
📝 Pages (formerly Notes)
Pages in Asana now support version history, inline comments, AI-assisted drafting, and task creation, helping teams move from shared context to action without losing the source material.
💙 i.DO Tip: Create a private Page first, then, when you ready to share it, associate it to the relevant items: task, project, portfolio or team.
Content from i.DO

2. AI & AI Teammates
🧠 AI Studio: clearer rule instructions
AI Studio can now review rule instructions and suggest clearer wording while you edit.
💙 i.DO Tip: Use it to sharpen a rule before you publish, and optimize your cost in credits.
🔌 AI Teammates Integrations
AI Teammates can now connect to Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Outlook Mail, and Outlook Calendar, giving them more context and action across the tools your teams already use.
🔌 Back to work? Get more from Asana
A new season is a good time to improve how your teams work. Planning your 2027 budget? Make room for expert support from i.DO and get more from Asana all year long.
3. Security, Governance & Compliance
🔐 Data retention policy (Enterprise+)
Configure organization-wide retention controls from the admin console, set object-specific periods including less than three years, include messages, and exclude teams.
🌐 API Traffic Filtering on IP Allowlisting (Enterprise+)
Enterprise+ organizations can extend IP allowlisting to API traffic, applying the same network controls to browser access and programmatic access.
💙 i.DO Tip: If your IT team already restricts browser access by network, align API traffic rules too so integrations follow the same governance standard.
